Convenient location near train station and shops. Room with partial lake view and quiet at night. Comfortable bed. Friendly and helpful reception. Basic but good breakfast. Allows free public transport with Ticino Guest Card.

I liked the view of the lake and mountains. The breakfast was nice and staff friendly and helpful.

The room facilities - even though they must have been luxurious in their days - are rather old now.

our honeymoon stay in locarno was amazing, and hotel montaldi made it even better. the location was perfect, right next to the train station and close to all the sights. the staff was friendly and the breakfast was good. the ticino ticket made getting around easy. highly recommend.

Air conditioning didn't work well.

The old facility and not so good service are not worth such a price.

Maybe too noisy surrounding, but if you want to be in the city centre... It should be noisy :-)

I liked Charlie the dog at concierge's desk, the location convenient to the train station and downtown, the wonderful and very ample continental breakfast and the friendly people working at the hotel.

Location is perfect. It's opposite to the railway station

Breakfast was disappointing, coffee was cold and bred was just not what you would expect in a hotel. The room was ok. However, the rest of the hotel needs renovation.
